In 2005 Target commissioned Earth Wind and Fire to provide the soundtrack to their Christmas commercials. The song used was "Gather Round" and EWF even appeared in the commercials.
The song was an exclusive to the Target Holiday CD called "Sounds Of The Season: The NBC Holiday Collection."
EWF also performed "Gather Round" at the Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Rockefeller Park that year.
