How to Get A Skunk Smell Off Your Dog

Did your pet get sprayed by a skunk?

Mine did.

Here is the "dip" our vet recommended.

De-Skunking Dog Shampoo

1 Quart Peroxide

1/4 tablespoon Baking Soda (I think, I didn't jot down tablespoon or teaspoon, but tablespoon makes more sense)

1 tablespoon Dish Soap

Mix Well and bathe your pet. Let it sit on their fur for 10 minutes (or as long as your wet pet will stand for it). Rinse.

 

I did my own variation on it, but it worked really well. It sure beats the $34 for grooming, plus an additional $18.25 for de-skunking they wanted to charge. Gotta hand it to 'em for sharing the ingredients and saving me money!
