My old nokia 3595 (aka, the Brick) finally gave up the ghost. And by finally, I mean it is about time! Woo-hoo, now I can finally justify re-upping my contract to get a free phone. And the winner: The Nokia 6133!
Like Dan (below), I called T-mo's customer service. I never upgrade online. I always talk to a rep. They can work magic if you are able to connect with them. My operator was wonderful, and even went the extra mile to get me the phone I wanted for free, even though it wasn't one of the free upgrade options. She even credited my account for the shipping.
Of course, I had to agree to 24 more months of service. Sure, I could have changed carriers for a free bigger, better phone, but few carriers have a plan like I have (a grandfathered 75 anytime mins/500 weekend for $19.95), and I didn't want the hassle of switching my number and all the hoo-hah of new carrier service.
Anyway, to get ready, I am collecting tips to help me when it arrives. This post will serve as my bookmarks.
So, if you have a 6133 this might be helpful, if not, I totally understand if you skip this one.
